The Sony PS3 will launch on Nov. 17 in the U.S., and about 400,000 units will be distributed. With only 400 thousand available across the country, how many do you think will be around by Christmas? Not very much if you guessed it, and that's not very good, especially during the busiest shopping season of the year.
Once the news sank in, Sony said that they were confident to get another one million units out by December. Is that EVEN ENOUGH? And even with that, they'd need to get everything out by early December (who goes shopping a day before Christmas day, except for me). One million units will not be enough to get all kids happy for Christmas (moms and dads better get a move on it).
Not saying that that will hit Sony's prices, but definitely it won't be helping them get their prices up.
